NOTE: It is not necessary to disconnect steering cable to remove handlebar and steering stemInspect bushings no28 for wear, cracks, scoring, etcReplace as necessaryInstallation is essentially the reverse of removal proceduresHowever, pay particular attention to the followingInsert throttle cable through dashboard hole and slide grommet no14 on cableInsert grommet no14 in dashboard hole and pull it from inside bilgeNOTE: To ease installation, apply water on grommetInsert wires of monitoring beeper and startstop buttonInsert spring washer no15 and the shim no16 onto steering stem no17Insert steering stem into support no181 2
CAUTION: Always install large flat washer with the stamped side facing the lock washer2 6
