Section 06 FUEL SYSTEM Subsection 02 (FUEL CIRCUIT)
Siphon fuel tank
Fuel Filler Hose WARNING
Verify fuel filler hose no5 for damageAlways ensure that clamps no4 are well positioned and tightenedTorque clamps to Nm (35 lbfin)
Fuel is flammable and explosive under certain conditionsAlways work in well ventilated areaAlways wipe off any fuel spillage from the watercraftRemove fuel baffle pick upRefer to the above sectionDetach all fuel tank strapsPull out fuel tank
Pressure Relief Valve
All Models This valve will eliminate fuel spillage when the watercraft is upside downIf pressure is built up in fuel system the valve should open at 10 kPa (1.5 PSI) to release the pressure
INSPECTION
Fuel Filter
All Models Except GSX RFI and GTX RFI Inspect fuel filter conditionCarefully use low pressure compressed air to clean fuel filterReplace filter if permanently clogged or damagedNOTE: On GSX RFI and GTX RFI, the fuel pump assembly must be removed to have access to the fuel filterRefer to FUEL INJECTION
WARNING
If pressure relief valve is stuck, the pressure in fuel system will build up and it may cause fuel leakage in engine compartmentNOTE: It is one-way valve with an arrow to indicate the air flow
