Section 04 ENGINE Subsection 04 (MAGNETO SYSTEM)
Apply Loctite 243 (blue) on nut no13Install nut with lock washer no14 and torque to 105 Nm (77 lbfft)CAUTION: Never use any type of impact wrench at magneto installation
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Install crankshaft position sensor no18 on magneto housingTorque screw to Nm (80 lbfin)NOTE: The throttle position sensor is not adjustable

Install gasket no24 between magneto housing and engine crankcaseInstall magneto housing and torque screws no19 to Nm (80 lbfin)
Rotor and Flywheel
When reinstalling magneto rotor no8 to engine flywheel no3, apply Loctite 648 to mating surfacesThe leading edge of the long protrusion must align with hole of engine flywheel1 2
Before installing cover, make sure oil pump shaft is properly positionedBefore installation, properly install O-ring no25 in engine magneto cover no1Apply Loctite 767 anti-seize compound on screws no11Torque screws in criss-cross sequence to Nm (80 lbfin)947 Engine
