Section 08 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Subsection 03 (CHARGING SYSTEM)
Clean battery terminals and cable connections using wire brushApply light coat of dielectric grease on terminalsClean battery casing and caps using solution of baking soda and water!
WARNING

Failure to remove the sealing tube could result in an explosion2Remove caps and fill battery to UPPER LEVEL line with electrolyte (specific gravity: 1.265 at 21C (70F))NOTE: This battery may fill slower than others due to the anti-spill check ball design

CAUTION

Do not allow cleaning solution to enter batteryRinse battery with clear water and dry well using clean clothStore battery on wooden shelf in cool dry placeSuch conditions reduce self-discharging and keep fluid evaporation to minimumKeep battery away from dew, high moisture and direct sunlightDuring the storage period, recheck electrolyte level and specific gravity readings at least every monthIf necessary, keep the battery at its upper level line and near full charge as possible (trickle charge)
