BATTERY
Troubleshooting
SYMPTOM: DISCHARGED OR WEAK BATTERY CAUSE 1Battery posts andor cable terminal oxidized2Loose or bad connections3Faulty battery (sulfated, doesn't keep full charge, damaged casing, loose post)415 amp fuse(s) burnt or faulty rectifier5Faulty battery charging coil (or stator)REMEDY Clean and coat with dielectric greaseCheck wiring and connector cleanliness, damaged or short circuitReplace-
CAUTION

Should any electrolyte spillage occur, immediately wash off with solution of baking soda and water
Cleaning
Clean the battery casing, caps, cables and battery posts using solution of baking soda and water

CAUTION

Do not allow cleaning solution to enter batteryRemove corrosion from battery cable terminals and battery posts using firm wire brushRinse with clear water and dry well
First check fuseIf it is in good condition, check rectifierregulatorReplace
Inspection
Visually inspect battery casing for cracks or other possible damageIf casing is damaged, replace battery and thoroughly clean battery tray and close area with water and baking sodaInspect battery posts for security of mountingInspect for cracked or damaged battery caps, replace defective caps
