Section 07 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Sub-Section 03 (CHARGING SYSTEM)
The battery must always be stored in fully charged conditionIf required, charge until specific gravity of 1.260 is obtained
CAUTION

Battery electrolyte temperature must not exceed 50C (122F)The casing should not feel hotClean battery terminals and cable connections using wire brushApply light coat of dielectric grease on terminalsClean battery casing and caps using solution of baking soda and water

In order to obtain correct readings, adjust the initial reading by adding .004 points to the hydrometer readings for each 5.5C (10F) above 21C (70F) and by subtracting .004 point for every 5.5C (10F) below 21C (70F)This chart will be useful to find the correct readingELECTROLYTE TEMPERATURE 38 32 27 21 16 10 EXAMPLE NO1
