717 Engines The digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) system includes the following components:
Ignition Coil
Magneto
It is the primary source of electrical energyIt transforms magnetic field into electric currentThe flywheel contains permanent magnets and spins around the generating coilThis electric current flows to the ignition coil (SP, GTS and HX models) or the Multi-Purpose Electronic Module (GS, GSI and GTI models)
