DYNAMIC TEST
To verify speed sensor, dynamic test can also be performed using battery and voltmeterDisconnect speed sensor wires from inside bilgeWith 12 VDC battery, connect the positive (+) to sensor PURPLEYELLOW wireConnect the negative (-) to the sensor BLACK wireConnect the voltmeter positive probe to sensor BLUEPURPLE wire and the negative probe to sensor BLACK wireTurn the paddle wheel slowlyThere should be voltage fluctuation
Speed Sensor
The speedometer gives reading through speed sensorSpeed sensor is installed on ride shoeIt works with the water flow which turns magnetic paddle wheel that triggers an electronic pick-up that in turn sends speed signal to the speedometerThe paddle wheel is protected by the pick-up housing
