STARTER REMOVAL
Disconnect BLACK cable ground connection from batteryWARNINGAlways disconnect ground cable first and reconnect lastDisconnect RED cable connection from batteryRemove the following parts cables from starter screw of starter rear support starter mount screws;

STARTER DISASSEMBLY
1,2,3,4,5, Yoke, Brush Holder, End Frame, Through Bolt and Nut
Before disassembling, trace index marks on yoke and clutch housing to ease further assembly1
1Pinion stop collar
9,10,11,12, Clutch Ass'y, Housing, O-ring and Armature
Turn assembly clockwise to remove it from armature assemblyPull housing from armature
CLEANING
