Shim Adjustment
Check steering column axial playIt should be between 0.25-0.75 mrn (.010-,030 in) Replace shim as requiredRemove screw and apply Loctite 271 (red!293 800 005) on screw threads, reinstall large flat washer, locking disks and screwTorque to 40 Nmm (30 lbfmftl
Weld steel angles A, B, and bushing as per illustration and pay attention to the following :
- Dimension 260 rnm (10-114 in1 must be respected on
both side
- Steel angles and and hole center of bushing must
be parallel
- Weld bushing on steel angle and drill steel angle260 rnrn 10-14 l
Tape to protect both ends
with and B
Locking disks face to face
WARNINGThe recommended torque and Loctite must be applied on screwEnsure locking disks are locked together (face to face)
