NOTEAn impact screwdriver can be used to loosen tight screws
withdraw it Remove four retaining screws of grate then Remove six retaining screws of ride shoe then withdraw
Ride shoe screws Grate screws
Evenly tighten
Withdraw pump unit and drive shaft togetherCAUTION: Whenremoving pump unit shim could have been installed between hull and pump housing be careful not damage shimIf shim is not reinstalled engine and jet pump alignment will be altered

Ride shoe screws
Ride shoe can be easily separated from hull with following suggested toolCAUTIONPrying ride shoe is likely to be damageableUse special tool when ride shoe needs be removed without damage
Use two steel angle bars 25 25 mm (1 118 in) thick 225 mrn (9in) longbetween ride shoe and hull Use 25 mm (1 in) square tube by approximately 125 rnm (5 in) long so that, with all parts welded, its overall length will not exceed 190 mrn (7-12 in)
