Solenoid Switch
Inspect connections and clean as necessary Solenoid ich condition can be checked with an ohmmeter Instdi test probes on large connectors of solenoid Measuln resistance when current is applied to small conne {ors,on YELLOWRED wire and -12 on BROWN wire If it is more than few ohms, replace solenoid switch

Align previously traced indexing marks
Align marks
IMPORTANT: No current must be present on large
catles when using ohmmeter, otherwise meter could
be damaged
ASSEMBLY
Re erse the order of disassembly to reassemble starter Hovever, attention should be paid to the following operaliens Pristo assembling, coat sliding surfaces on armature shcft splines, overrunning clutch and bushing with Vejb lube 341 lubricant or equivalent
