NOTEDo not remove plug against bearing in crankcase half
End bearing
Do not remove this plug
CLEANING
Discard all seals and O-ringsClean all metal components in solvent Clean oil passages and make sure they are not cllogged Clean rotary valve shaft and inside of distance sleeve
End bearing can be easily removed using the following suggested toolSnap-On Hammer Puller including Handle CJ93-1 Hammer CJ125-6 Claws CJ913-4
INSPECTION
Inspect rotary valve cover for warpage Small deformation can be corrected by surfacing with fine sand paper on surface plateSurface part against oiled sand paperor Inspect bearingsCheck for scoring, pitting, chipping other evidence of wear Make sure plastic cage (on bigger bearing) 111s melted Rotate them and make sure not they turn smoothly
