Section 03 ENGINE Sub-Section05 (BOTTOM END)
Install bearings so that their periphencal grooves be located as shown in following illustration
Perphercal grooves on inner side
Penphercal grooves on inner side
At assembly in crankcase, apply Loctite 242 (blue) 293 800 015) on stud threads
12,20, Seal
At seal assembly, apply light coat of lithium grease on seal lips
Finalizing Assembly
NOTEIf water inlet socket has been removed from crankcase, reinstall it with its nipple pointing towards ignition housing
For rotary valve timing and assembly, refer to "ROTARY VALVERESERVOIR" for procedures If engine support 11sinstalled on crankcasebefore ignition housing, electric starter must be installed before engine supportNipple towards
Crankcase halves are factory matched and therefore, are not interchangeable or available as single halvesPrior to joining crankcase halves, apply light coat of Loctite 515 Gasket Eliminator (PIN 293 800 007) on mating surfaces Do not apply in excess as it will spread out inside crankcase
