Section 03 ENGINE Sub-section 05 (BOTTOM END)
- With the other hand, slowly rotate engine by PTO

flywheelLay forearm over screwdrivers eel movement

Screwdlrivers in spark plug holes

tighten nut

- Remove TDC gauge and install on PTO side- Bring PTO piston at Top Dead Center-
As soon as one piston stops going up, the other must immediately go downAny interval between strokes inducates misaligned crankshaftOr, to accurately check cralnkshaft alignment, proceed as follows :

Interval between cylinders must be exactly 180' therefore, needle pointer must indicate 180' on Degree Wheel (360'- 180'180'1 Any other reading indicates misaligned crankshaft
Remove ignition housing coverMAGNETO" for procedures
- Remove MAG flywheel nutRefer to "FLYWHEEL- Install Bombardier Degree Wheel

Crankshalft Alignment Connecting Rod Journal
Such misalignment may cause crankshaft hard to be manually turned Verification can be done be measuring deflection each end of crankshaft Refer to "INSPECTION" paragraph If deflection is found greater than specified tolerance, this indicates worn bearingki), bent andor disaligned crankshaft
