From now on, these marks will be used for further assembly positioning as pre-timing position
Apply Loctite 242 (blue)293 800 002) on screw threads then torque them in criss-cross sequence to 22(16 Ibf-ft1 After housing installation, make sure before re-installing electric starter, that inlet socket 11s installed on crankcase

Position armature plate on crankcase, aligning previously traced marks on both parts Apply drop of Loctite 242 (blue)293 800oin screw threads and tighten
31, Ring Gear
Apply Loctite 648 (PIN 290 899 788) to flywheel mating surfaceLay ring gear on steel plate, then heat with propane torch in order to install it on flywheel

NiOTEEnsure that ring gear contacts flywheel flangeScribe new mark on ring gear for further ignition timing

To remove ignition housing, starter has to be removedRefer to "ELECTRICAL" under "Electric Starter", section 07-03 for procedures Unscrew retaining screws then withdraw housing
