Section 03 ENGINE Sub-section 02 (REMOVALINSTALLATION)
Disconnect hose on exhaust manifoldRemove fasteners taking care not to drop any part then withdraw manifoldElectrical Connections WARNINGAlways disconnect starter or battery cables exactly in the specified order, black negative cable firstElectrolyte or fuel vapors can be present in the engine compartment and spark might ignite them and possibly cause personal injuriesIt is recommended disconnect electrical connections prior disconnecting fuel linesFirst, remove black negative cable from starter mounting bolt, then red positive cable from starter postWrap electrical tape around red cabllle connectorOpen electrical box and disconnect wires of cable coming from magneto housingUnscrew cable capSlide cap and compression grommet away then pull cable out of electrical box cover IntakeFuel Systems Loosen clamp of intake silencer boot on carburetor sidePivot intake silencer to rear of watercraft Remove both retaining screws of carburetor support from engine coverInstall hose pincer on rotary valve oil return line (on top of rotary valve housing) then disconnectRemove throttle cable from oil injection pump Remove engine support mount screws
