Measure resistance between BLACK and BROWN wires Note resistance Reverse probe connections on the same wires and note resistance resistances on both directions without voltage and much higher resistance on one direction when voltage is applied to it
EXAMPLE
- good speed limiter will have approximately the same

The remaining items can be easily checked with Bombardier Ignition Tester 295 000 008)
2 Follow test procedure sequence
3 Install cap over tether cord switch and depress starting button until light turns on, or otherwise, for maximum of five seconds IMPORTANTSince protection cover is removed in ignition housing to access connectors, re-install both BROWN wires to engine to complete ground circuit Otherwise engine will not stop when engine stop button or tether cord are activated
