Sub-section 05
Section ELECTRICAL (CDICHARGING SYSTEM)

Ignition Coil
It receives its energy from ignition module via two-wire connectorIt induces voltage to high level in secondlary winding to produce spark at spark plug
5Engine speed limiter6Magneto output 7Ignition module output 8Ignition coil output
The first three items can be checked with known automotive equipment and other items as follows

CAUTIONWhenever replacing component in ignition system, check ignition timing
Engine StopITether Cord Switches Verification
Engilne Stop Switch Disconnect the BLACK and GREY wires in the ellectrical boxUsing ohmmeter, connect test probes to switch an BLACK and GREY wiresMeasure resistance, it must be close to zero ohm in its operating position and an open circuit when depressed
Engine Speed Limiter
It has three functions :
Tether Cord Switch Disconnect the PURPLE and RED wires in the electrical boxUsing ohmmeter, connect test probes to switch an PURPLE and RED wires Measure resistance, it must be close to zero ohm when cap is over switch and an open circuit when removed
