HULL and BODY Handlebar CoverSteering Post Removal
1Remove steering cover (handlebar pad) by loosening the screws located on underside of pad2Spread bottom of cover apart and lift it up and rearwardNote throttle cable and switch wire routing for reassembly3If handlebar is to be replaced, remove screws on throttle blockRemove throttle lever pin, and disconnect throttle cable4Remove the stop switch and set it aside5Carefully pull wire harnesses, and throttle cable through steering post6Remove (4) bolts on handlebar clamp and remove handlebar7Remove shroudRear shroud bolts are accessed underneath glove box padDisconnect MFI from harness and pitot line8Remove (4) bolts on steering housing9Remove steering cable end from post10Slide steering column up and out of the support hubReverse procedure for reassemblyGrease column bushings with lithiumbased grease.3 11Reverse procedure for reassembly12Reference torque specifications belowPull Wires and Throttle Cable Through Post
