FUELEXHAUST SYSTEMS Exhaust SystemInspection
A complete inspection of exhaust components is critical to proper operating performanceInspect all hoses for cracks, pinholes, swelling, tears, discoloration, air bubbles, and fatigueIf any of these are evident, the hose MUST be replacedNOTE: hole in an exhaust hose no more than pin head in diameter can cause significant power loss and poor runability

Cracking can occur at the bends in the hose and undersides due to normal wear and tearInspection of hoses involve the entire hoseAll worm gear clamps must be in good working conditionReplace if rusted, stripped, or stretchedCheck the condition of each PLANETt acoustic resonatorReplace if damagedCheck each resonator for impasses due to carbon deposits or foreign materialReplace if material cannot be removedInspect each exhaust hose for signs of internal melting or foreign materialReplace hose if lining are meltedDrain the water from the exhaust resonatorsInspect the inside of the resonator for signs of burning and crackingVerify that the downpipes inside the resonator are not clogged with carbon or foreign materialIf any cracking is evident, replace the resonator
