14Remove fuel pump body screws and carefully lift assembly from carburetor15Remove gasket, diaphragm, and OringExamine each for cracking, holes, distortion and fatigueReplace if required16Inspect the check valves in the fuel pump bodyThe valves cannot be disassembled and must be replaced as an assembly
17Note position of limiter cap on low speed mixture screwCarefully remove the cap (pull off)Turn mixture screw in (clockwise) while counting the exact number of turns until lightly seatedRecord the number for future referenceRemove low speed mixture screw, spring, washer, and O-ringCarefully inspect the tip of needle for wear or damageReplace if necessary
