PROPULSION Driveshaft Shim Procedure
The driveshaft must be shimmed to prevent driveline damageNOTE: The NOMINAL number of shims21Install tapered spacer over driveshaft endVerify beveled edge is flush with driveshaft bevel2Install two shims, then hand thread coupler on to driveshaft3Push couplers together with rubber dampener installed4Measure "X" as outlined in illustration below5Reference specification table and remove or add shims
