ENGINE DISASSEMBLYASSEMBLY Engine Assembly
1Remove any remaining gasket material from the upper and lower crankcase mating surfaces2Remove gasket material from bedplate mating surface3Clean the following parts with engine cleaning solvent:
UpperLower Crankcase Cylinder Head Bedplate Lower Sump CrankshaftBalance Shaft
4After cleaning parts, blow dry with compressed air5With the engine facing up on stand, lubricate cylinders with engine oil6Obtain both piston assembliesLubricate piston assemblies with engine oil7Install the upper and oil control rings with the markings facing upwardsUPPER RINGS SPRING
