NOTE: Do not move crankshaft until measurement process is completedDo not place on oil holesMeasure crankshaft main bearing clearance1Place upper journal bearings into upper casehalve2Install crankshaftPlace piece of Plastigauge across the journal surfaceInstall lower crankcase halve with journal bearings installed3Loosely install lower crankcase bolts, turn engine up on stand4Install old cylinder head gasket, cylinder, and the cylinder head nutsTorque nuts and bolts to specified torque and tightening sequence5Carefully remove components and measure each compressed piece of Plastigauge 6Reference bearing replacement guide if bearing oil clearance is out of specification
