Fuel Injection System Error Messages
If the program doesn't start, an error message will appear explaining the problemIf the program doesn't start, AND doesn't display an error message, the problem is most likely insufficient computer memoryThis error message indicates that the communication port will not openThis message is usually caused by the following problems
ERROR OPENING PORT NUMBER: PRESS ANY KEY TO TRY AGAIN

The selected com port does not exist on your computerMake sure you selected the correct com portMost computers have at least two com portsThe ports are normally labeled com and com 2Consult the documentation for your computer to determine the name of the port you have plugged the diagnostic communication cable intoMake sure the diagnostic program is set up to use the same portSee the section titled Changing Com Port in this bookletSome computers have the ability to enable and disable the com portsConsult the documentation that came with your computerMake sure the com port is enabled
Something is already using the com portThis is usually caused by mouse driver that is loaded in the Config.sys file or Autoexec.bat fileIf you are using DOS or newer, you can bypass the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat files by restarting your computer and pressing the F5 key when you see the Starting MSDOS messageIf you are using an older version of DOS, you will have to remove the command that loads the mouse driver by editing the Config.sys or Autoexec.bat file
