EngineCooling Engine DisassemblyAll Engines 13Tap lightly on the stator housing with softfaced hammer and remove housing
14Turn coupler clockwise (as viewed from rear of craft) until piston is approximately (25.4mm) before Top Dead CenterNOTE: Estimate piston position using screwdriver or similar probe through plug hole15Remove screwdriver or probe and insert approximately ft(30cm of 516 nylon rope through spark plug holeUsing coupler tool or large wrench on flats of coupler, turn crankshaft counter clockwise until rope stops the rotation of the crankshaftWith crankshaft locked in position, remove coupler by turning counter clockwise (as viewed from the rear).Do not use impact tools for coupler removalDamage may occur to the coupler or toolDo not allow rope to exit exhaust port16Remove the four cylinder head cover bolts
