Maintenance StorageExterior CareContinued Engine Fogging Procedure
CAUTION: Failure to perform the following preventive maintenance can result in serious engine corrosion during off season storageIn order to prevent rust and corrosion on internal engine parts (i.ecrankshaft, bearings, pistons, rings cylinder walls), Polaris highly recommends the regular use of Polaris fogging oilThe engine should be fogged daily when operated in salt waterFogging kits should be added to all Polaris watercraftThe engine should be fogged if the PWC will not be used for more than 48 hours

When properly applied, fogging oil coats all internal engine parts for prevention of rust and corrosion, which in turn will extend the service life of the engine1Remove air intake cover and filter2Start the engine and spray Polaris fogging oil towards each carburetor throat to ensure that all internal parts are properly coatedSpray fogging oil for two to three seconds in each carburetor throat and repeat until the engine is flooded with fogging oilThen stop the engine immediately3Reinstall air filter and air intake coverTorque bolts to proper specificationSee Chapter 3, EnginesCAUTION: Never operate the engine for more than 15 seconds while the watercraft is out of the waterOverheating of engine and drive line components will resultTorque Properly Refer to Engines Section
