Fuel Injection System Communication ProblemsStarting Diagnostic Program From DOS NOTE: The following procedures should only be used when you have been unable to establish communication between the laptop and EMM AND you have attempted the boot disk procedureAdditionally, this procedure will not work on laptops using the Microsoft MEt desktop operating systemThe Polaris diagnostic software program, PN 2874118, is DOSbased programSince the program is DOS-based, you can access the software through the DOS command screenTo perform this procedure, follow these steps1Click on the START button in the lower, lefthand corner of the desktop screen2Click on the SHUDOWN tab3Then, click on the "RESTART IN MSDOS MODEThe laptop will now shutdown the operating system and restart in DOS modeOnce in the DOS mode follow these procedures1In DOS, there will be flashing underscore line next to C:WINDOWSType: cd and then push the enter button2The command prompt will now read: c:Type: podiag and press enterThe diagnostic program should now startupNOTE: If you originally downloaded the diagnostic software onto drive other than the driveYou will need to type the letter of the drive followed by the semicolon and press enterOnce you have entered the correct drive, you can type: podiag and press enter
