5If fuel pump will not run, check fuel pump circuit: AVerify that battery voltage is present on REDW wire at all timesBGround BRN wire; pump should activateCUse diagnostic software to check fuel pump circuitIf pump will run using diagnostic software, the EMM is not the faultContinue to check circuit harness and circuit breakerVerify continuity on REDW and BRN circuitsDIf pump will run using diagnostic software, but not while engine turn over, check the resistance of the Crank Position Sensor (CPS)If out of specification, replace sensorNOTE: Remember these important facts regarding the fuel pump: The CPS "activates" the EMM fuel pump circuit when it reads that the flywheel is rotatingWhen the EMM "senses" that the flywheel is rotating and the lanyard is installed, the EMM grounds the BRN wire and the fuel pump turns onBattery voltage should always be present on the REDW circuitCheck the 15A circuit breaker for proper operationIf the fuel pump is running, the fuel lines should visibly flex at initial startupYou should be able to feel fuel pressure inside the fuel lines when the pump is runningIf the diagnostic software can turn the fuel pump on and off, the EMM circuit is not at fault, unless the EMM cannot interpret the signal generated by the CPS
