Fuel Injection System Symptom Engine Turns Over But Will Not Start Possible Problem MFI Failure Corrective Action Jump PURW to BLK at the LR moduleIf engine starts, repair connection or replace the MFICheck starter motorVerify that starter motor is rotating engine fast enough to startCheck voltage drop while crankingConnect lanyard to startstop switchVerify that 12VDC is present on BLKYEL wires(Disconnect lanyard, voltage should drop to zero)Verify that startstop switch is working properlyRefer to the electrical chapterCPS Perform resistance checkReplace if out of specificationTPS Verify that TPS is within specificationsReconnect or replace if TPS has failedAir Temp Perform resistance checkWater Temp Perform resistance checkUse diagnostic software to retrieve any service codes and engine monitoringVerify that regulatorrectifier part of EMM is functioning by connecting the problem boat's and 12 pin connectors to different EMM(Leave 40 pin connector in suspect EMM)Verify system has battery voltage on EVERY REDPUR wireVerify that battery voltage is present on EVERY WRED wire in system while, and only during engine cranking(Voltage should jump to 3945VDC after engine reaches 1150 RPM)Verify that ANY BLKYEL wire is O.Lduring turn overCheck spark plugVerify plugs are NGKInspect for damageBattery EMM Verify battery voltageRefer to electrical chapterInstall second EMM and attempt to start watercraft(Only after checking ALL troubleshooting procedures)
