Fuel Injection System Symptom Engine Turns Over But Will Not Start Possible Problem Pin Power Harness 12 Pin Stator Harness 40 Pin EMM Harness Corrective Action Verify that Pin power harness is correctly installed in the EMMVerify that 12 Pin stator harness is correctly installed in the EMMVerify that 40 Pin EMM harness is installed and bolted securely to the EMMConnect EMM communication loop togetherTest AC output of the stator Refer to page 8.2Perform resistance checksRefer to page 8.2Verify that the flywheel key is not shearedPlace MAG piston at TDC and verify that timing marks are visable though the side timing hole on flywheel coverALSO, can remove CPSThree encode ribs should be visableThe center rib should be straight up and downVerify quality of fuelRemove any water from fuel systemCheck fuel pump for proper operationPerform resistance check on the CPSReplace if out of specificationCheck 15A circuit breakerVerify fuel pressure at Shradert valveGround BRN wire from fuel pumpIf pump will not start, verify whyUse Diagnostic Software to testVerify fuel lines are properly connected to the fuel pumpFuel Injectors Use Diagnostic Software to check for operationVerify voltage at each injector while cranking(1822 VDC) Use timing light on injector wires while cranking to verify operationUse timing light on high tension leads to verify operationUse diagnostic software to testVerify resistance specifications
