Fuel Injection System ACTION STEPSIGNITION SYSTEM
Step 1: Visually inspect all connections and groundsPerform resistance test across all ground connectionsReading MUST be zero (0) ohmsBe sure to calibrate meter before testing
Step 2: Perform cranking spark test; connect timing light to individual leadsVerify tether cord is connected
to stop switch
OKperform Running TestsSee Step 6No spark on all or on someGo to Step 3
Step 3: Check crank position sensor resistance and wire connectionsSee engine sectionStep 4: Check voltage at coil primary terminals using peak reading voltmeter and coil extenders 180 volts or higher, with no spark on coil- Replace with known goodLow or no voltage on anysubstitute know good coil and recheck primary Voltage-If voltage is now OK, coil was defectiveReplace and verify-Still low olt on hec' ed capacitor(45V Circuit)
