9Locate the stator wiring harnessDetach the harness from either the EMM (DFI 1M models), or the electrical box connector (carbureted models)10Detach the following cables and hoses from the engine: Throttle Cable Choke Cable (Carbureted Models Only) Air Temperature Sensor (DFI1M models) TPS sensor (DFI1M models)
11Remove the carburetors or throttle bodies (DFI models)12Disconnect the positive cable from the starter assemblyScrew lock washer and nut back on to post of starter13On carbureted models, remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs
