5Use main cable adjuster nuts to make major adjustmentsAdjuster nuts are located at forward end of cable near steering podOpen front compartment and remove storage tray for access to bottom nutSee III3Using two 11161 open end wrenches, hold one nut and loosen the otherLengthen or shorten cable to adjust nozzle centeringTighten cable nuts securely after adjustment is completeTurn handlebars to left and right through entire steering rangeThe bars should move freely and smoothly without bindingIf resistance or binding is evident check rod end positioning, cable condition, and routing to locate and correct the cause7
Use main cable nuts for major adjustmentsTighten securely-_

Reverse Cable Adjustment
The reverse cable does not require periodic adjustmentIf the reverse linkage does not function properly, inspect the cable for damageInspect all linkage, fasteners, brackets, and pivots for wear or damageWhen new cable is installed the cable must be adjusted123Place reverse shift lever in reverse positionLoosen cable adjuster nutsAdjust cable until reverse gate locating collars engage fully into reverse actuator locating slot when slight upward pressure is applied to reverse gateReverse gate must float in the notch and should not be forced inCheck gate locking by pulling up on gate when in down positionMove shift lever to forward positionReverse gate must be above water streamTighten adjuster nuts securelySeal the cable threads and adjuster nuts with marine grade silicone sealant and tighten securelyAllow sealant to cure fully before operating craft
