1Remove drain plug and clean bilge and engine area with hot water and mild detergent (such as dish soap) or with bilge cleanerRinse and drain thoroughlyWipe up remaining water with clean, dry shop clothsDo not use abrasive cleanersSpray all external metal surfaces with Silicone SprayCoat all surfaces inside the engine compartment with Silicone Spray or non-flammable protectantDo not use petroleum based protectants or lubricants in the engine compartment, as most are flammable and also may deteriorate rubber componentsStore watercraft with drain plug removed and the seat propped open slightly to inhibit condensation from forming in engine compartmentWash exterior of watercraft with fresh water and mild detergentRinse thoroughly3Inspect and thoroughly clean jet pump intake, outlet, and impeller area4Inspect entire deck and hull area for damageInspect rub rails to be sure they are fastened securelyWARNING: Never spray water into to carburetor intakeor hull intake ports
