DIAGNOSTIC SOFTWARE FFI Diagnostics Testing Electric Fuel Pump
NOTE: Do not start the engine during any static testDoing so will cause erratic operation until you shut off the engineNOTE: Do not run fuel pump with fuel tank empty or damage to fuel pump may occurType "3" to turn the electric fuel pump onThe computer will display screen telling you the fuel pump is runningThe fuel pump will run continuously for approximately secondsThe screen counts down the amount of time to the end of the testIf you press any key, the test will stop immediately and return to the Static Test MenuThe fuel pump motor makes an audible whirring sound while runningIf you hearthe fuel pump running, the relay and pump are probably okayYou can also use this procedure to turn the fuel pump on to perform the pressure and volume test outlined in the service manualWhen you are finished with the Static Test screen, press the "ESCAPE" key to return to the Main MenuFUEL PUMP TEST IS RUNNING TEST WILL STOP IN SECONDS
