Setting Up The EMM
1Locate the diagnostic port on the engine wiring harnessIt is positioned to the aft of the EMM on the starboard side of the boatThe port has cover to keep connections cleanRemove the cover to access the portConnect the communication cable (PN 2872454) to the diagnostic port on the watercraftDiagnostic Cable These are connected during engine operation Diagnostic Portr-t Cap
NOTE: When you are finished with all testing, make sure you protect the diagnostic port by reinstalling coverConnect the other end of the diagnostic cable to the serial port on the laptop computer2Disconnect the 8-pin connector to the EMM and install the FFI EMM Service Power Connector PN 2872456This will power up the EMM1M
