Coolant Temperature Warning Circuit Operation
The MFDMFllight is controlled by temperaturewarning switch installed into the engine cooling systemWhen engine coolant temperature sensor reaches its "ON" temperature (see page 7.3) the switch closes, completing the current flow from the wire harness through the MFDMFI and to groundThe system should be tested periodically for proper operation

Warning light in MFDMFI is activated when temperature switch contacts are closed (overheat condition) and ground path is completeOn Polaris engines, the sensor is located on the exhaust manifoldGround the sensor wire from MFDMFI with engine running to see if temp light activatesRefer to MFDMFI functiontesting in this section
