Alternate Method Of Measuring Nozzle
Following is an alternate method for checking nozzle centering
Rear View Of Pump Nozzle

Perform steps and on page 6.19 to center handlebarsMeasure distance from rear-most edge of steering nozzle (or trim nozzle) to stationary pump nozzle (extension housing) with 6" steel rule or vernier caliperMeasure at the same point on both left and right sides along horizontal center lineThe distance should be equalSee III1Measure on horizontal center line from rear of steering or trim nozzle to stationary nozzleDistance should be equal

Adjustment Procedure
1Minor adjustments can be made using the steering
cable rod end(s)Loosen jam nut on rod end(s)Remove end from top of steering nozzleTurn rod end in or out to adjustReinstall rod end, apply Loctite 242 (Blue) and tighten bolt to specificationsSee III2
