MAINTENANCETUNE UP External Engine Corrosion Prevention After flushing the engine for off-season storage or after salt water use, perform the following procedures
Cleaning
Remove drain plug and clean bilge and engine area with hot water and mild detergent (such as dish soap) or with bilge cleanerRinse and drain thoroughlyWipe up remaining water with clean, dry shop clothsDo not use abrasive cleanersSpray all external metal surfaces with T-9 Metal ProtectantSpray all surfaces inside the engine compartment with Silicone Spray or non-flammable protectantDo not use WD-40 LPS or other lubricants of this type in the engine compartmentThese lubricants may cause damage to the rubber components of the watercraftStore watercraft with drain plug removed and the seat propped open slightly to inhibit condensation from forming in engine compartmentWash exterior of watercraft with fresh water and mild detergentRinse thoroughlyInspect and thoroughly clean jet pump intake, outlet, and impeller areaInspect entire deck and hull area for damageInspect rub rails to be sure they are fastened securely,
