ENGINECOOLING Exhaust Valve InspectionCleaningAdjustmentPro 785 Adjustment The correct position of the exhaust valves is 14 turn above seated1Ensure that each exhaust valve is fully closedA.Lift each exhaust valve up (one at time) about 18"316" and releaseDo not lift the valve above 316" or the bellows may restrict free movementB.Upon releasing the exhaust valve should make an audible "click" indicating contact of the valve against the seatNOTE: If you do not hear an audible "click", first check for adequate cable free-playLoosen the adjustment lock nuts and turn cable adjust cable length until an audible click is heardIf free-play is adequate but no click can be heard, clean the exhaust port and valve to remove any carbon depositsIII IC

CAdjust cable out until freeplay is removed from cable, but an audible click can still be heard when repeating Step and BDTurn the adjuster out 14 turn from the point found in Step (raise the exhaust valve) and tighten the lock nut securely
