MAINTENANCEITUNE UP Submerged Engine Submerged Engine (Hydrolocked)

If the engine becomes water-flooded, follow these procedures immediatelyIf water is left in the engine it will cause severe engine damage12345Remove watercraft from waterRemove lanyard cord from engine stop switchPut watercraft onto flat surface protected by mat or cardboard; leaving room to roll itRemove drain plug to empty water out of bilge, and remove seatRemove spark plugs and tip watercraft counterclockwise (to port side) until spark plug holes are just below horizontal co co co

WARNING

Be sure the lanyard cord and lock plate are removed from the engine stop switch to kill the ignition or severe injury could result67While holding the watercraft in this position, turn drive shaft by hand to rotate engine until water has run outAttach spark plug wires to ground on engine and depress starter button for one second at time until no more water exits the spark plug holes

Depressing the starter turns the engine and pumpStay clear of all moving parts to avoid severe personal injuryUpright the watercraftInspect, dry and install new spark plugs
