ENGINE DisassemblyInspectionPolaris Engines 1Remove carburetorsithrottle bodies
2 Remove starter motorInspect O-ring and bore in cover for damage
3Remove intake manifoldInspect sealing surface for nicks or damage that may cause an air leakRemove reed blocks and stutters
4Measure air gap between fiber reed and reed block as shownThe air gap shou ld not exceed .015" (.4 mm)If clearance is excessive DO NOT attempt to reverse the reeds reduce the air gapAlways replace them if damagedCheck each fiber reed for white stress marks or missing materialReplace if necessary
