Carburetor mixture screws (Keihin carburetors only) are pre-adjusted at the factory and usually no adjustment
is necessaryExceptions would be after cleaning or overhaul, orwhen minor adjustments are required for altitudeRefer to carburetor specifications at the beginning of this section and perform the following adjustments1Loosen large clamp atair intake silencer and removeSecure choke in its closed position using tape or tie to
prevent debris from entering carburetors or engineRemove air intake cover, (6) screws, air intake
screen, gasket, and (9) attaching boltsRemove air intake base from carburetors
CAUTION:
NOTE: Use care to ensure lock washers are kept with bolts, and cover the carburetors to prevent debris from entering
Do not force the needle into the needle seatIf over-lightened, needle damage will occur, resul ting in erratic carburetor peliormanceIn the photo at right, needle (shown
