Fiberglass Repair (HULL) The hull is constructed of hand laid fiberglassNormal fiberglass repair procedures applyDamaged fiberglass can be easily repaired by following few basic steps123456Remove all damaged material with sabre saw or grinderUsing disc grinder or die grinder, taper fiberglass 1" (2.5 cm) back from patch area on inside of partApply masking tape to outside of part to form moldMix enough polyester resin and catalyst to complete the repair, following instructions for resin being usedApply resin to inside of patch area using disposable paint brushLay in small pieces of shredded fiberglass mattUse the paint brush to force air bubbles outAdd more resin and move matt around
