STEERINGIREVERSE SYSTEM STEERING NOZZLE REMOVAL1 INSTALLATION Remove the following:
- reverse bucket (page 15-15)cable joint pivot lock nut and washer
- steering cablepivot bolt and collarssteering nozzle
Check the steering nozzle pivots for cracks or other damageCheck the steering cable for damageApply water resistant molybdenum disulfide grease the steering nozzle pivot collarsApply locking agent to the threads of the steering nozzle pivot boltsInstall the steering nozzle with the pivot bolts and collars, and tighten them the specified torqueTORQUE: 22 N-m (2.2 kgf-m, 16 Ibf-ft)
JOINT PIVOT LOCK NUT
Apply water resistant molybdenum disulfide grease the steering cable joint pivotConnect the steering cable onto the joint bolt on the steering nozzleInstall the joint lock pivot nut with the washer and tighten it the specified torqueTORQUE: 10 N.m (1.0 kgf-m, Ibf-ft)
