PISTON INSPECTION
Inspect the piston rings for movement by rotating the ringsThe rings should be able to move in their grooves without catchingPush the ring until the outer surface of the piston ring is nearly flush with the piston and measure the ring-to-groove clearanceSERVICE LIMITS: 0.08 (0.003 in) Top: Second: 0.06 (0,002 in)
Insert each piston ring into the bottom of the cylinder squarely using the pistonMeasure the piston ring end gapSERVICE LIMITS: Top: 0.48 (0.019 in) 0.7 (0.03 in) Second: Oil (side rail): 1.0 (0.04 in)
