CRANKSHAFTIBALANCERIPISTON REMOVAL Mark the bearing caps and bearings as you remove them to indicate the correct cylinder for reassemblyBe careful not to damage the crankpin, main journal and bearing insertsSeparate the crankcase halves (page 12-5)Loosen the coupler bolt while holding the coupler boss securely and remove it with the O-ring and washerRemove the drive couplerRemove the oil seal
Remove the connecting rod bearing cap nuts and bearing capsTap the side of the cap lightly if the bearing cap is hard to remove
