Pull the safety lanyard lock clip off of the engine stop switchRemove the seats (page 3-5)Remove the dummy connector from the DLCConnect the HDS pocket tester to the DLCInsert the safety lanyard lock clip in engine stop switch, check the DTC and freeze dataFreeze data indicates the engine conditions when the first malfunction was detectedECM reset
The HDS can reset the ECM data including the DTC, freeze data and some learning memory

When checking current DTC
Start the engine and check the warning light and MILWhen the PGM-FI system has no problem by inserting the safety lanyard lock clip in engine stop switch, the MIL will stay on for few seconds, then go offIf the engine will not start, turn the starter motor for more than 10 seconds and check that the MIL blinksIf the MIL and warning light blink, and the warning buzzer sounds, the PGM-FI system has problemCheck the following procedure:
